Yeah there's that as well, but you and I both know that things over there aren't as clear cut as media want it to be, there's a lot of politics over there that I am not knowledgable enough to comment on.
Whilst we're mentioning it might as well mention Afghanistan, Burma, Pakistan etc.
Also shows the fickle nature of the media. Notice how under Saddam, a leader who "massacred" basically everyone who wasn't a Sunni, there was no mention of Yazidi's or large Christian populations in Iraq, now they've suddenly shot into the limelight. Why? If he was as bad as they said wouldn't he have wiped them off? Considering their population is relatively small it would've been easy for him to do.
Not defending the man of course because he committed some vile acts, just highlighting how western media can't be trusted.

Fair enough. Not sure how I feel about it tbh, like obviously they're in a horrible place if they think that's the best way out but it would hurt your family so much and everything

Yeah that's a different thing entirely tbf, I was more referring to his current predicament (in good health, family, wealth, fame etc.) not to say that equals happiness but to show he was in a more "advantageous" position than others.
