Good luck! Can I ask if you've heard from any of them yet?

Had a small heart palpitation reading the words "advancing physics." The horror!

Not heard anything yet but only applied just over a week ago! Presuming I'll hear from Lancaster and Notts relatively early and not expected to hear from the others for a while!

I'm applying for Modern Language Studies (French, Portuguese and ab initio German) but I'm worried about not getting in because I didn't work at all during AS so I know my grades don't reflect my ability, plus there's only 25 spaces across all combinations.

I called the university and they said that if I don't get an offer for Modern Language Studies I'll still be considered for the Modern Languages degree so fingers crossed.

To be honest I'm surprised that there are so few places for Modern Language Studies and Modern Languages; I thought there'd be more than 25 and 85 respectively. Any Language applicants heard anything yet?

just got an offer for Microbiology; AAB
Why are you students applying to Nottingham, out of interest? Is it the campus, the reputation, the name? I always associated Nottingham as one of the best after Oxbridge.

Most students will get CCC for that course, as it is based at Sutton Bonington.

Oh whoops I don't think I knew that- does it not have a good reputation?

It does have a good reputation, but it isn't based on the main campus, so naturally some students don't want to commute into Sutton Bonington. Unlike Nottingham city, Sutton Bonington is very posh and affluent. They have a Vet School down there too.

It is hard to get onto this course as it is at Notts. AAA? But what draws you to the university? I was drawn to it by the fact it was a solid top 10 and very fashionable with students in the 90s/early 00s.
