You know the coordinates of B and C

The fact that AB = BC means you can find A

Given you have A and D you should be able to find the equation

When you have two points on a line

Find the gradient

Then use one of the points to find the equation
Can somebody please do this step by step, I'm stuck!!

You need to think for yourself in order to understand

B is indeed (0,5)

What is y at point C? Use that to find the x co-ordinate of C

As you can see from the workings out I have already attempted to get the answer but failed. please don't comment on my thread if you aren't willing to help in the first place.

The y intercept but then usually that means that the entire answer went wrong somewhere.
