By the way, what did people put for "What supplies the centripetal force for the car going round the bend?" I put friction but I couldn't remember what the options could've been, so it's (kind of) an educated guess. I did put gravity at first but that's definitely not right, right?...:s-smilie:

I think it's acceleration

Yeah you had two labels (the ciliary muscle and the retina) and there were more questions on that page asking about the function of the iris an something else but I forgot

I thought the arrow was pointing to the suspensory ligaments?
does anyone know the direction in which that wire was moving and was it generator effect or motor effect, cos i wrote generator

The other one was the Minimum frequency for ultrasound, human hearing which I put 20,000Hz

ah thats right I got that too!!!

It was suspensory ligament and retina

Damn it!:s-smilie:
What did everyone out for the wires one? Something like which two can you compare with lengths?

Pretty sure the frequency for ultrasound is above 20 000Hz.

No - it's 20Hz to 20kHz

I think it's acceleration

ooooh..

for the velocity one? 12000/2400 so 5 yeah

I put the motor effect, and i said it moved upwards. Some other ppl in my school put the same as me, but idk if its correct

Yeah you had to label retina and suspensory ligaments

this was already labelled on my paper.

Yh.. I got it wrong

hi everyone, hope the exams went well! just wanted to share some of my p2 answers:
for the kinetic energy (and therefore also the gravitational potential energy afterwards) I got 3.6J, and for the height of the rocket I got 7.2 metres
for the maximum speed I got 22.5m/s
for the current shown on the graph I got 1.7A, for the charge I got 51 coulombs and for the energy transfered I got 612J
for the velocity of the cars after the collision I got 5m/s
for the resistor with the greatest resistance I put C because it had the least steep gradient so it allowed the least current to flow through
for the wires that prove length of wire affects resistance I put K and L because they were made from the same material, and K had half the resistance of L and was also half the length of L
for 'what is nuclear fission' I put that it is the splitting of complex and unstable atomic nuclei into simpler nuclei, releasing energy and two or three neutrons
for 'what is meant by braking distance' I put that it is the distance travelled by the veichle under the braking force
for the six mark question I put:
- highly concentrated but tiny positive charge in centre of atom called nucleus
- protons have a relative mass of 1 and a charge of +1
- neutrons have a relative mass of 1 and a charge of 0
- both subatomic particles make up the nucleus
- most of the atom is empty space
- electrons are arranged in shells around the nucleus
- electrons have a mass of 1/1840 and a charge of -1
- an atom has an equal number of protons and electrons as there is no overal charge
that's pretty much all I can remember tbh, think it went alright!

Can you tel me how you worked out the maximum speed was 22.5 m/s?
I just did 170 over 10 to get 17 which probably isn't right.

I bet my house that the 6 marker in p2 will be about stars

I think you owe me a house mate Lool

Yes I did the same

Wasn't the question what is acting as the centripetal force and it was friction

Think the wire moved up: (Lemmings left hand rule), and it is the motor effect.

Yeah you had to label retina and suspensory ligaments

We had to label the eye????? I missed that one.
People talking about labeling an eye, did you do higher or foundation?
