When people go on holiday a botfly will bury its eggs on the skin of a human or dog or monkey and the larvae lives under the skin until ready to hatch and so there are loads of videos on youtube of the larvae being pulled out and it leaves all the holes - the worst is the monkey as they are wild and seem to leave them in there like they are use to it, at least dogs get seen by humans - but don't go watching the videos it is gross.
