Who's responsibility is it to contact HMRC, me or employer?
I received my tax code for the year 6 April to 5 April 2017.
On the letter, my previous employer is listed - I don't work for that employer anymore.
Who's responsibility is it to contact HMRC, telling them this particular information is wrong? Thanks.

It doesnt really matter as you won't be earning any income from that previous employer.
If you want to though feel free to contact HMRC and waste 50 minutes on hold to tell them the updated but largely irrelevant information.
