It's not my problem anymore..I left..? Poor choice of wording from me, it wasn't the difficulty, what I study now is much more difficult. It was the topics I had to study like C programming, electrical circuits, logic gates, antennas etc and lack of passion from the lecturers I found it incredibly boring.

Don't take so much offence, I'm being light hearted.

I live with a MEng student in EE who has many job offers from companies to the point where he can literally pick who he works for with a great starting salary.Top engineering firms are after him.

I have great respect for engineers and what they do.

Like I said, I was just being light hearted.

Oh right, my bad dude. I'm sorry man xx

Why didnt you switch to mechanical or like umm regular aero

I'm looking at some MSc programs in Aero related engineering. I quite like Space so I've delved into Astronautical engineering masters programs too. No idea how I'd get into that industry though.

I'm first year btw
In second semester we're doing:
C/C++, Electromagnetics, Electronic Circuit Design, Microcontroller project and Energy transport and conversion

Have you delved into the wonderfulness that is Matlab?

Electromagnetics is one my favourite topics, but studying it engineering (I did it in first year) and then again in second year with the physics department was really different.

first year chem eng in the house

let me finish this lab report first tho

We didn't do Matlab, we did LabView in first semester.
And oh right, how so was it different? I quite like Electromagnetics too

what are you looking to do when you graduate?

Ah interesting.

Well with Physics, I had to be able to derive about 15 equations from 1st principles including the Wave Equation & Maxwell equations in integral/differential form etc.

The wave equation is particularly tricky when you extend it to three dimensions (this is 2nd year stuff though)

Engineering was less derivations, more problem solvey.

Hmm kind of weird times for a report to be due in mine is due in 9 am

how long do you get to do your lab reports and how long are they supposed to be?

Well in chem eng thats like a minimum luckily there wasn't that much to talk about in this experiment but other ones .... they can go over 5-6k easy
