Scary thought about flying - someone could open door mid air?!

What if someone opened the door mid flight? And I was walking back to my seat after going to toilet so I didn't have my seatbelt on?

I would get sucked out the plane :frown:

Cabin pressure prevents it from opening even if unlocked.

And if you had a seatbelt on? I'm trying to imagine this... cabin pressure would drop, I wonder if those oxygen things will fall down... it it will freezing lol

You mean on the ground? Because the pressure difference between interior and exterior is nothing, whereas at 35k ft it is significant

I'm no expert but I presume when you're on the ground there's no need for the cabin to be under pressure since you're at a normal safe level (i.e ground level) so it just opens normally.

I don't know, in my head they were to be used in the case of emergency. What would happen if you dived from up there? will you be crushed when you hit the water?

The pressure equalises when on the ground and the door can then be opened.
