pakistan has been deteriorating over the years now. From corruption over the moon, to terrorism spreading over the country and minorities unprotected and helpless. However, my aim with this thread is to see what the pakistani youth wishes to see pakistan in the future. What is you vision for pakistan? What kind of pakistan do you want

1) a secular pakistan. A pakistan where there is a separation between state and religion, whether it be islam, christianity..religious laws should be abolished and religious scholars should have no say whatsoever in politics. Blasphemy laws, or punishment for apostasy should be outlawed, pakistan should follow the model of countries like turkey, albania or uzbekistan. religious tv channels should be banned for spreading hate and intolerance ! And hate preachers should be jailed and have receive no media attention
2) a liberal pakistan, a pakistan where a women should be able to dress however without facing any kind of fatwas ( following from the first point ) or anger from the public. ( that anger should be used to address issues like poverty and corruption ). A pakistan where no one should be judged or discriminated regardless of what race, religion , gender or sexual orientation he subscribes to.
3) a women friendly pakistan ! Dont need to add anything to this because we all know what pakistani women have to go through. Some have not got basic rights.
4) representative democracy is not working for pakistan. We need a secular liberal permanent leader like bashar al assad ( before the syrian war) or king abdullah ( from jordan ) or maybe how china works. A leader who can make fast and quick decision in the interest of his country. However he should be liberal and secular and not like zial hul haq ( i am so happy he died in such a disgusting manner, he deserved it). The issue with representative democracy is that it takes too long to make decisions and often proposals are moulded and altered when they go through the parliamentary scrutiny, and thereby the initial effectiveness of the proposals is watered down. And nothing is done in parliament, and we see that in pakistan. Morever we can see the high amount of corruption that is perpetuated in pakistan because of a system which is not meant to help pakistan in the first place.

Religious channels, faith schools, religious leaders in politics, religious political parties, niqab/burka under the age of 21, mcdonalds,..any religious law..

i think that they can only stand up as a country with a good leader holding them up. The people are corrupt and are always doing something whcih aaffect the stability and structure of the country. An i don't think that having someone in the political standing should affect the way the country is run. They need to find someone with the right intentions and put them in charge

they don't have to travel pia. They could go on emirates and connect via dubai or go on etihad, qatar or ba.
You will find that a lot of people go PIA are older people who don't do non direct flights which is the majority. Anyways without it, they do not have a national carrier or even a decent business.

Im born in the UK but parents are from Pakistan. I dont like Pakistan anyway never liked it 2 corrupt in many ways.
Anyway your first point i disagree as a Muslim and infact all Muslims will disagree on that point we believe politics and religion go together. God doesnt want humans to rule there own way but he wants his own way. If God didnt get involved then humans can just make their own law like they do such as allowing alcohol drugs, prostituiton etc. But Gods law doesnt allow that. Human law can never be above the law of God.This is just from a Muslim point of view. God doesnt just create us and leave us to ourselves and do what we like no. There are do's and don'ts . Just like when an employer employs someone he gives him certain rules wht to do wht not to do. Same way God gives us laws to follow.
However Pakistan doesn't have a full shariah law.They pick and choose like Saudi Arabia and the other Muslim countries do.
I agree blasphemy laws should be abolished aswell as apostasy laws.But Blasphemy there has to be a limit .In certain countries if u speak against the goverment u can be jailed. There is no such thing as COMPLETE free speech.If u criticize Islam u shouldnt be killed and that will not be considered blasphemy. If u insult Islam its up to the leader what to do with him . If i insult someones mother father what will he do to me . So criticizing should be allowed but insulting should not be allowed.

2 There are much bigger issues in Pakistan going on which they should focus on rather than focusing on how a woman dresses as u said poverty. However in Pakistan its Christian and Muslims . So both agree women dressing in bikinis or showing there legs etc is wrong according to both religions. So there should be unity on this matter . Regarding hijab 'even on Muslims its not forced'. Being a desi Muslim here and I know how the social expectation on Muslim girls to wear hijab or else suddenly they become 'bad'. Imo there is no choice for women due to culture and that ruins the whole purpose of hijab because at the end of the day, you would only wear to protect the notion of 'izzat' and to conform to social expectation even if you do not wish to wear the hijab.

Sorry, but Ahamdi Muslims dont believe that politics and religion go together. The Sharia should not be imposed on anyone according to them. So not true.
Moreover a lot Pakistani Muslims also agree with secularism, This thread proves it.
I am Muslim I think secularism is the best form of politics.

I agree that the attitudes towards women in Pakistan definitely need to be changed, but I think it needs to be pointed out that clothing restrictions aren't an issue nowadays for women in cities like Lahore and Karachi, it only applies to those in the less developed areas. I've seen women in cities wear short kurtas, leggings and skinny jeans and no one says anything to them. I understand it's not the same in other parts, but I don't think you should be giving off this image that all of Pakistan is still like this.
The problem is that, even though women in cities do have the freedom to be independent and to live on their own nowadays, they don't get a chance because men (even educated/wealthy ones) don't take a woman seriously when it comes to business e.g a woman trying to buy her own house, unless there's a man present or dealing with everything on her behalf.
One other thing you didn't mention is the problem of load shedding. People would be so much more productive if they had access to electricity 24 hours a day. In the heat with no fans or air conditioning or even light, it stops them from doing things and it slows down their day. It leads to people doing most of their work at night time when it's cooler, so in the morning you don't see as many people out, even in cities. Gas load shedding is also becoming an issue in the winter - people literally can't even cook because their gas is getting cut off for hours a day.
As for that last point you made, I don't understand why you would want to legalise alcohol and weed in a country where everyone carries a gun. Even McDonald's has a security guard standing outside with a huge gun. Most people use guns to protect their shops but you rarely see them actually having to use them. If alcohol and weed were easily accessible to all of these people who own guns, I can guarantee there'd be more than a few accidents. What good would drugs do in a country where there's people who don't even have money for food? Drugs will not solve any of their problems.

I mean from a Muslim perspective gods law is above human law . Im not imposing Gods law on every1 else i just mean in an actual tru Islamic state Gods law is 2 implemented in a Muslim majority. If u dont u are sinning but u are still a Muslim .
