boosting grades after graduating

I graduated from an American university in 2014 with a GPA of 3.4 (a UK 2:1 is usually equivalent to a GPA of 3.33-3.7). I'd really like to apply to PhD/DPhil programs at Cambridge and Oxford, but they are setting their minimum academic requirement to a 3.5 GPA. Does anyone know if I can take classes after graduating university to boost my undergraduate GPA? Will Oxbridge count all university-level classes toward my GPA, or just those taken at my degree-granting institution?

I emailed both universities about this, but who knows when I will hear back!

Thanks all!

Not likely to be a successful strategy, there are more than enough applicants who get near perfect grades first time around. If you had extensive, relevant professional experience to go with your application, that might make a difference.
They really are the best people to advise you. You may want to gain some relevant work/research experience in the mean time to strengthen your application.
