What do I need to buy before starting medicine?

Im starting medicine at the University of Liverpool in a few weeks. Have no clue what i need to buy, such as notepads, etc
A set of scrubs on ebay. That way you'll be able to go out on these baby-medic nights out and be insufferable whilst actually spending a year going to a lot of lectures about cells.
Do you get a list from the department? Some basic stationery will be enough to get started until you decide how you're going to work, take notes, file papers etc. You'll be able to get everything else when you're there.

They'll tell you if you need to buy anything special (unlikely straight away). Some stationery, a computer if you haven't already got one and can afford it, and then all the usual stuff for moving out to uni - I'm sure there's a list on TSR somewhere!

a stress ball
Some lubricant. You're going to need it.

What's the Liverpool course like? Do you do any GP/hospital days during pre-clinical years? If so you may need a stethoscope (no need for anything fancier than a Littmann III SE) and smart work clothes and shoes at some point during your first term.

Lol are you ever going to stop making salty posts about medic nights out?

Incidentally, sensible med students don't buy their scrubs...

Because junior doctors are being ****ed by the government, the DoH, their regulating body, their employing trusts and the media.

Do you want them going in dry?
