For now look at the histopathology 2024 self assessment scoring criteria online. They will use this to shortlist candidates for interview. I believe the score required this year was around low 30’s. This will likely increase every year due to competition so aim for 40+. If shortlisted for interview then your interview score will determine offers. Buy the histopathology interview book by osama on Amazon-very useful for interview prep.

I would also recommend doing a taster week in a histopathology department. You can see what the job is like, speak to the current trainees and get much more helpful advice. You might also be able to do a pathology related audit in that time.

Does anyone know if there's an e-mail address/contact to make enquiries about the self assessment form/evidence? Also if anyone has any tips for easy things to do to get self assessment points please let me know because the scoring cut offs are getting wild!
