What causes multiple scerosis (ms)

It's an autoimmune disease. Evidence suggests it's caused by genetic factors, and maybe environmental. I don't think it's something that's brought on by a virus or bacteria

I wouldn't know. It's not very well understood. Someone couldn't get a diagnosis based on environment anyway

Diagnosed at 19 - that's tough! My mum has MS but feels lucky that she wasn't diagnosed till much later in life.

No one seems to know what causes it - lack of vitamin D and glandular fever are some thoughts on things that can trigger it but no one really knows.

It can be a mean condition to live with - I wish you well!
Sorry to hear, the doctors perscribed me with vitamin d tablets after I had my bad relapse I was in there for 2 weeks, what's glandular fever and thank you mate
