Can anyone explain why Hillary Clinton is the better choice?

Firstly, you can't imagine the comfort I honestly feel when I'm told how woefully out of line the U.S. is with the rest of the world. I pray the day NEVER comes when I hear we are lockstep with the rest of the "civilized" world.

The reason I excluded accidental deaths are because those deaths are entirely preventable and, according to FBI stats. are steadily dropping. Gun manufacturing technology and awareness will, I hope, get us to the point where the only one dying by firearm is the bad guy.

Also, it's kind of hard to believe your feelings of outrage and disbelief are caused solely by the numbers killed. How many young Brits drink themselves to death every year? How much tax money is spent on them through the health care system? At least gun manufacture has a plus side to it, (recreational shooting, self defense). The manufacture of alcohol has only one purpose; intoxication. I'm sure all those who bemoan and wail about our gun deaths would embrace a prohibition on alcohol consumption.
How many unnecessary auto deaths? In both our countries! These could be reduced by, probably 90%, with the stroke of a pen lowering the max. speed limit to, say 25-35 mph. Where's the outrage over those truly senseless and completely avoidable deaths?

Another thing to consider when your wondering why Americans are so reluctant to give up their guns is culture. We feel an attachment to guns that I'm sure is difficult for someone not raised here to understand. It starts in childhood and is reinforced by the inescapable logic in the old axiom that, " God made man but Colt made them equal". Sounds a little corny maybe but, in survival situations, it is undeniably true.

As I said, as nutty as a fruitcake.

Care to explain why Hillary Clinton is the better choice for POTUS, WITHOUT mentioning Trump at all?

This should be interesting...

Also please make it an easy to read list so we don't have walls of text covering half a page or more, thank you.

A lot of people are blindly following SJW's, however, are unable to explain any of trumps policies or give constructive arguments.

It's a fair point - many will be voting against one candidate, rather than for the other. Having said that, it's clear to me that there is only one candidate to vote for, and one to vote against.

Your list:
- Experience
- Diplomacy
- More likely to listen to advisers on their specialist subjects
- Published her tax returns
- Accepting reality when things don't go her way
- Getting permission before groping others
- Not trying to throw all her enemies in jail
- Knowing that we can't use nuclear weapons first

P.S. By asking why she's a 'better' choice, you invite comparison.

'Getting permission before groping others' is not a valid reason to vote for Hillary, that isn't what makes a good president objectively.

I'm sure that you understood the point though. The question does include 'better' and is therefore inviting comparisons, of which that was one.

My dad used to say " nutty as a fruitcake". Really surprised me to see it.

Since we both like sayings to express ourselves, Im sure you've heard the phrase, " Democracys' a *****'", well, "Freedoms a *****" also.
Like millions of other Americans, I'm willing to put up with the abuses of firearms in order to retain the right to own them. I think that sometimes anti-gunners don't consider the countless times, everyday, firearms are used to defend innocent life.
Remember also that total deaths from firearms has been on a downhill course .for the last 40 years according to FBI statistics. The last few years may have seen an uptick in those numbers thanks to violence in Chicago though.

Ignoring the fact Americans with guns are also more likely to be killed when victims of violent crimes than those who do not.

In the UK we've long since told ghetto kids not to carry knives in self defense, because generally it leads to a higher likelihood of the victim being killed. It's exactly the same concept with guns.

Says the person who completely denies that there have been 1.4 million gun deaths over 65 years in the USA, more than the number of American war dead ever, and who thinks accidental deaths are fine.

Britain realises it has a problem with young people binge drinking and is trying to find solutions. The same applies to knife crime.

What it doesn't do is glorify the problem, as Americans seem to do with gun deaths, or seek to deny they exist (as you did) or refuse to realise that cultures that cause the problems must change.

Better implies relativism. I.e. better than what. Better than the other candidate.

Do you see that your question is totally flawed?

would say Trump grew up much farther from gun violence than did Hillary.

Question; why does Hillary want to,(in her dreams), repeal the second amendment while Trump, (who, according to some on TSR is a fascist) want to defend it?

Answer; Trump knows that everyday hundreds of Americans use their firearms to defend themselves, their families, others. Hillary doesn't care. She puts her left wing agenda above common sense and it cost her the election.

Your forgot Hillary knows that every year thousands are killed by guns in America and she wants to stop that/ Trump doesn't care.

A) Not surprising, other than saying "I will make America great again" and "I guarantee it", Trump hardly ever put emphasis on his policies.

B) The same can be said of Trump supporters.

Replace "better" with "best" then you pedantic prat.

Because she's a liberal. Because she works for the people on Wall Street who have a few, just a few ties to major media cooperations. She works for the elite and they pass the message down to the voters who will never feel the progress but be told it's happening somewhere

So why did the elite vote Trump, if she is for the elite?

<50k income voters voted for Hillary by a large margin.

every group above 50k voted, more narrowly, for Trump.

When did anyone ever say she is the "best" candidate?

Any decent Republican candidate would have trounced Hillary. Trump beat her on the electoral system.

Likewise any non-hated Democrat would have trounced Trump.

And thanks for proving once again what a complete a-hole you are.

That makes it worse, actually, as it implies there are two other candidates: one that is at the bottom of the heap, one that is better and a third that is best.

It is now too late anyway and yes, I am not American but I would like to explain why I supported Hillary Clinton in this election.
The most important reason is definitely NOT her gender. I am a woman - and choose politicians based on their policies, not their genitalia.
Key issues I side with her are:
- gun control
- pro choice / abortion
- same sex marriage / LGBTQ rights generally
- universal healthcare
- climate change / protection of the environment (can't go without an comparison to trump who thinks climate change is a hoax.. in fact I would do much more than hillary clinton too)
just to mention a few...

That's a myth as far as handguns are concerned. You may find instances of that occurring but to say a victim of violent crime is MORE likely to be injured if he has a gun is simply not true. That may be true with knives but to say the concept holds equally true with guns is, like I said, simply not true. There is a world of difference between a knife fight and a gun fight.
If someone walks up to you and sticks a gun in your ribs and demands your money and your stupid enough to go for your gun then you deserve a bullet. When the assailant retreats and nobody is around then you can draw your gun and shoot the creep if you want to but your just inviting a lot of legal trouble.
Many robberies are committed with knives or by "strong arm". In these cases a firearm comes in handy.
Also, what you described is more likely to happen if the person is not comfortable with a gun and doesn't shoot regularly.
I would like someone to respond to my earlier comments

Mine are FBI stats. Why do you ignore the fact your figure includes total gun deaths? A large portion of that total are police shootings. justifiable, or accidental.
Take all those away and the numbers dwindle. "Cultures that cause the problems have to change". Gimme a break.
Where did you get the figure of 1.4 million?

If she cared she would have focused some kind of effort in Chicago. Personally, I don't want the Gov. to concern itself with gun deaths. We have far greater problems to deal with.

You speak as if some deaths are good ones and you still don't want to believe such a horrifying fact. You should go look in a mirror.
