Nursing/Midwifery Part time study

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any universities in the UK that offer Adult Nursing or Midwifery as a part time course?

Moved to the Nursing and Midwifery area.

Part-time is not offered routinely due to the requirements of the NMC of 2300 hours of theory and placement. You would also be expected to work shifts following those of your mentor which is not practical when trying to hold down another part time job.

Often the part-time courses are intended for staff already working as a HCA and going on a secondment (such as the one offered by the Open University). This is only really an option if you have been in the role for a considerable period of time and have the full support of your employer.
