Plot twist: there was no Jesus.
Actually isn't Jesus the messenger/prophet of God on Earth? That's why he is the "son" and God if the "father"? (This was a long time ago in Sunday school- raised protestant, no longer a believer)
Jesus pbuh was a prophet who prayed to Allah.

God doesn't pray to himself :s-smilie:

He is if you're a Catholic.
I'm an Atheist but from what I can gather this is how it goes....
Jesus is God's son. Joseph was not Jesus' father he was merely Mary's partner. Mary was selected by God to carry his son.
Therefore, Jesus was praying to the power that was higher than himself

So...yeah
It's not something I can believe in... but to each and their own

I was raised a Catholic (no longer one) and Jesus was not God.. We were taught that he's the Son of God.
According to the Holy Trinity that Christians believe, God is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Therefore if the Son, ie Jesus, is God, who was he praying to? (according to Christians)
I am not a Christian, I just want to know what Christians would say to this

Considering that prayer is just talking to God, Jesus would have been talking to his father, just like people talk to each other.
Christians believe that god is three: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. therefore they did believe that Jesus was God.

To God/Allah.
But why would he feel the need to do so because according to the Holy trinity, Jesus is the 'son' which is one of the three forms of God, so....
If he was God himself, like Christians believe, he would not need to pray to anyone but himself.
answer me this

That is what I believe. Nothing I have found is yet to disprove it. It makes sense because Jesus is not God but a prophet.
