I love the sources.

The sources -all credible and respected- don't change the facts they report on (which are of course catastrophic for any Brexit supporter). Opinion is clearly marked as such.
Only a civil war will end the Brexit madness.

It's not possible to have a rational logical debate with people.
I read every single one of those links. Gret ponts, keep i uop.

Sarcasm... the one thing you did not look out for in that post.

I want to set up a political party, anyone want to help me? I think it is time for a big change, we must get rid of the current government and have a party for the people, i want a better NHS, better education in schools, stop immigration, more jobs for unemployed british people. I would like someone to help me set up group. Everyone complains but no one does anything, if we join together we can make a change.

No, you just didn't understand my response.

the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.

CoffeeGeek sarcastically/ironically said he 'loved the sources' while really meaning that he doesn't like them, implying that they are all from the liberal end of the political/economic spectrum and therefore biased, which makes my threads less credible and relevant.

So far, so good. I trust you can follow.

My reply emphasized that my sources -of which many, but far from all are left-leaning- only report facts which are true (and very troublesome for Brexiteers and their nationalistic, xenophobic, economically naive ideology) regardless of political orientation of the media that publishes it, rendering his interjection obsolete and baseless.
The fact that right-leaning media does not report on these facts does not mean that they don't exist, it just means that right-leaning media is not doing its job and wants to keep its uneducated readership in the belief that Brexit is a success story.

UK has always been Labour or conservative, the only way your new party will ever have an effect on the polls is through a coalition with either of them.

Brexiters are Europhobic, not xenophobic. They can't wait to get into bed with Americans and all their other former colonies.

Agreed about Europhobic, but it's not a secret that the referendum was mostly a vote on (Muslim) immigration - do you remember UKIPs campaign posters? Hate crime against minorities, and especially foreigners, has skyrocketed since the referendum. A big part of Leave voters are hardened xenophobes.

Are we still doing the whole "HURR DURR LEAVE SUPPORTERS ARE RACIST , XENOPHOBIC AND ISLAMPHOBIC"(Cue other autistic screaming) thing ? You have completely discredited your argument by suggesting this.

Suggesting? It's a fact. Ok, there are some who just don't know the first thing about economics and really thought the UK, with its small, undiversified economy, could actually do better on its own than as part of a huge trade bloc, but it's mostly really just knuckle-dragging xenophobes.

And that fact discredits each and every argument leave supporters ever made and ever will make.

Lets have a look at a report by Lord Ashcroft about the main reasons for people voting to leave (With polling to back the findings"

Nearly half (49%) of leave voters said the biggest single reason for wanting to leave the EU was “the principle that decisions about the UK should be taken in the UK”. One third (33%) said the main reason was that leaving “offered the best chance for the UK to regain control over immigration and its own borders.” Just over one in eight (13%) said remaining would mean having no choice “about how the EU expanded its membership or its powers in the years ahead.” Only just over one in twenty (6%) said their main reason was that “when it comes to trade and the economy, the UK would benefit more from being outside the EU than from being part of it.”

Please tell me where the option "Muslim immigration" is

Please tell me where the option "Muslim immigration" is

I don't know, you tell me - it clearly wasn't an option to choose from!

Given that the top-ranked answer in this (questionably designed) survey implies the UK being able to make decisions about its immigration policy, and given the phenomenon of people tending to give socially acceptable answers in polls rather than what they really think, it very much seems as if 82% wanted Britain out of the EU to keep immigrants out.

You are not very good at interpreting data, are you?

If neither the fact that the Leave camp won on the basis of a campaign ran on clearly (and disgustingly) xenophobic messages nor the fact that hate crime against minorities skyrocketed after Leave won isn't convincing you, have a look at this:

Sadly you're preaching to the wrong people. In the Brexit polls they found that majority of young people from the age of 16-24 were actually in favour of staying in the EU. Sadly 16-18 year old were not allowed to vote despite proving we was capable of understanding the situation (Meanwhile a lot of adults and media kept disgracing the younger generation saying that "We don't understand" which was ultimately patronising.) so a lot of young people didn't get a vote and their voices were not heard. So we now all have to face the future that was decided for us...

Not the future we wanted.

Its sad that Brexit happened, but sadly it's not gunna change now.

Anyway! My point is since the majority of younger people was in favour of Remain, all of the links are just more and more depressing as we watch the country fall apart that we all know we all (as a country) will have to repair in the future.

Thoigh good research in your sources!

Thanks, appreciate the post.

I am aware of the generational gap, but you wouldn't believe it from looking at TSR threads! Right-wing Leave supporters (whether they were allowed to vote or not) are very vocal here and even seem to be in the majority. I believe my work here is important for that reason, there has to be a counter-weight that shows the reality - most of those young conservatives will feel the impact only in a few years when they graduate into a recession economy.

Very true. Wasn't saying your post is pointless here  I have seen a good amount of very right wing students on here myself, some have actually been accepting that it could turn out to be a bad thing, but sadly like anything some just can't/won't look past what they believe to see the whole point. Just that sadly majority of students were ignored/outvoted in the referendum which is unfortunate for us. Good post though
