Hi, sorry you haven’t had a reply yet. I’m a first year adult nursing student and I only got a stethoscope as I bought a cheapish manual blood pressure cuff to practice at home. There is the risk of it going walkabouts at both university and on placement and they are available for you to use when you need them.
Some people say they don’t like the idea of sharing a stethoscope but you can just clean it with an alcohol wipe.
I’d say you might want to wait until you start and see what the university recommend.
