No, you have 14 days from when it is confiscated to sort things out.

I don't drive I've just reported an uninsured driver so want to know also how long it takes for the police to act when an uninsured cars location is reported?

I don't know the circumstance the person is under. It wouldn't be my place to bring them down. If they're doing it for a wrong and immoral reason I believe they'll eventually get what's coming to them.

uninsured drivers are a blight on our roads. the police do not seem particularly keen on going after them.
