What's the biggest scam you've fallen for.

BTW University doesn't count.

Someone ripped me off on Gumtree, sold me a phone that was not only stolen but also didn't work, it you factory reset it it will work for about 30min which he must have done to make it work when I tested it. Cost 300 pounds. Moral of the story never buy something from an Indian on Gumtree, idk about the UK but most Indians just wanna scam you. Even Indians don't buy from Indians. I sold a car to an Indian woman a few months ago and she said one of the reasons she came to view it was because she could see I had a white name lol. Unless it's a samoosa don't buy it
for now, certain relationships

Forking out a fortune for a course to make you a guardian against the millennium bug. Job for life they promised but it all turned out to be a flash in the pan. Bit like becoming a salesman for nuclear bunkers or worse... buying one!
I've never been scammed but this comes close.

Some years back I became Christian for a while. I went on a Christian chat room to chat with like-minded people and someone pm'd me claiming that he was from India and had a church that he was struggling to fund for, so he asked me if I could send him some money to help out. I just wanted to to the right thing and didn't think much of it so I agreed. It wasn't until my mum found out what I was gonna do that she warned me that I was likely being scammed so i decided to not send the money.

This happened in South Africa, so if you buy anything online the import and shipping charges are ridiculous. Since on Gumtree you meet the seller in person theres none of those costs, ive bought and sold lots on stuff on there over the past few years and it's usually pretty good, that was the only time I got caught out
Gamesharing with my friend so he could get ps plus and I could get fifa 19

Spoiler

TSR
I mean, its literally a form of procrastination for most students.

we were both in SA at the time, never drove more than 5 minutes to buy or sell something on Gumtree.
porn, forums, video games, smartphones, netflix

it aint the money its the time they rob. time could have spent towards real passions and becoming better stronger version of ur self
Snaprevise, never did end up using their awfull videos.

uni email got hacked via phishing
there was an email sent to me looked like a genuine one with a button saying "to view full message click here"
then took control of my account sending messages similar to this left right and centre
big issue
and it's still going round today
it's even got better and has a uni login page now, to try steal the whole uni account

None, I am too smart.
'All religions are made by men to control people' - a load of horse manure which does not stand up to historical or logical analysis.
