I wouldn't trust someone who couldn't keep up with the times such as on same sex marriage, also one of the reasons why I didn't like May

Well 'the times' are wrong.

Ah so if an advocater and supporter of facism was a good debater and was opinionated, you'd support them? Also I didn't say I didn't like you (idk you). I have friends who are idiots.

If a fascist was a good enough debater to convince me to his ideals then yes I would obviously follow him although this would be near impossible

If an advocator and support of racism was a good debater and was opinionated... and I was was a fascist... then yes I would support and respect them.

I wasn't talking about myself. You don't like Reese Mogg because of his political views, that's a bad habit.

He is a politician how else am I meant to form a bloody view of him? Haven't run into him at the local pub and had a chat with him...
You didn't say you 'if you were a fascist before'. You said if a fascist advocator was a good debater, it would convince you to follow his views.

"although this would be near impossible" you seem to have left out quite an important part.

Well my ideology is a bit more complex than a single quote.

'near impossible' suggests that you are open to the idea, somewhere inside you

No I think that modern society is morally corrupt and will reap the degeneracy that it has sewn

Well then I shall assume that your whole ideology revolves around you sitting down.

Considering you were the one to first use the argument that you can tell the ideology of a person from a single quote and then when I do it (mockingly) you call me uneducated, seems like you might be stepping on your own toes.

I was just talking about the whole debate we had in general
This has to be the most futile and banal thread ever.
The answer is that there are pr*cks on both sides, get over it.

No it wasn't the socialist plan to join a capitalist organisation, it was Labour with real socialists like Tony Benn who opposed us joining the common market, the Common market was fiercely fought for by the Conservative party and the right.

It's not a capitalist organization though.

it very much is.
Original post by Prussianxo
Well the conservatives were not entirely in support of joining. Many conservatives were opposed to joining and then there was a huge split during the 80s and 90s over the eu

Copy paste

Welcome to the 1975 European referendum - a mirror image of the one being fought today. Today the Conservative government is deeply divided over the big question. In 1975, it was the Labour government. Prime Minister Harold Wilson had come back from Brussels with what he claimed was a better deal for Britain (sound familiar?) and was leading the In campaign.

But Labour's left, led by Tony Benn (and including a then-unknown Jeremy Corbyn), hated the Common Market, seeing it as a "capitalist club" that would erode British democracy and destroy jobs.

The EU became of poison chalice for the conservative party later on as it grew, you are correct
