I asked my accommodation (codestudents.co/code-cov) and they are letting me move in early :-) I think you just have to ask and places will do their best to help if they can

I presume this is university provided accommodation? In which case they can wait until you get your loan.

Yeah but I want to move on the 8th August , will that be okay? because I get paid on the 6th so I can book my train ticket as my uni is in a different city

Of course, it's just that you are paying for a room - empty or not - from the 5th.

They don't mind what day you actually move in..

Hey there! If your tenancy agreement starts on the 5th that's probably the earliest you can move in although it doesn't hurt to email the accommodation team and ask if you potentially move in earlier if needed.
