i agree with what an earlier poster said about comparing apples and oranges. comparing specialist institutions like SOAS, LSE and imperial with multi faculty uni's like kings and UCL is meaningless
well it's not top 10, period. I've seen it as low as 30. Depends on your subject, King's is a great place for a prospective lawyer. Still, if you do physics there, for example, you're at a mediocre university in a mediocre department. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then maybe it is a duck - people will know that you are just a mediocre physicist because you're surrounded by mediocrity.

Then we will just compare Kings and UCL. Verdict: UCL is better.
brewhaha! that's the same table that puts middlesex 19th Where is it on the Times table?
16th.
You said "it's not top 10, period". If you meant to say "it's not top ten, according to the Times" why didn't you say it?
"Period" implies more than just The Times.
Anybody who judges the worth of a university based on the opinion of one table doesn't deserve to get into a top 50 university, let alone any better.
P.S. Middlesex is 86th according to The Guardian. Don't you think that, perhaps, glancing at a league table before feigning to know all about it would be a sensible idea? Maybe?

Are you trying to tell us Middlesex is a world class uni, because then I will have to ask you to remain silent
Hmm. It put it 19th last year as the clearing adverts quoted it "a top 20 university" I didn't mean according to The Times either. I meant that I can easily think of 10 universities which are, beyond argument, better than KCL.
As someone has said earlier, King's needs to drop its shoddy departments or bring them up to scratch. It also needs to increase its typical offers esp for subjects like law where for instance they offer AAB, however Essex offer AAA???? Also, need to stop taking on so many people through clearing.
