I did both and I'm glad I did. I remember at the time people telling me it's too much coursework n stuff with both but it's really not.

Depends what topics you'll be studying, I mean I found GCSE geography boring as hell because it was all about what people think about everything Eg Coastal Mangement and why we carry out coastal mangement, but history was far more interesting Eg. Russian Revolution and so on, so just look at the syllabus and see which topics you like the sound of most. Hope this helps
