I-Bu-Pro-Fen

I as in Pie
Bu as in But
Pro as in Protagonist
Fen as in Fence

Eye-Buh-Pro-Fen
Eye-boo-pro-fene.
That's how I say it.

I go between I-buh-PROF-in and I--bruh-PROF-in.

Prof rhyming with both.

My OH calls it I-BOO-pro-fen or something.

Have a box in the cupboard and I have been pronouncing it wrong for years it seems.I honestly thought they were called

IBRUPROFEN

but no they are not *hangs head in shame*.

Same here
I - boo - Pro - Fen when I sat here and thought about it......

I-ba-pro-fen when I went away and actually said it. (ba as in... bag) or Iber-pro-fen as in cyber. I blame my manqy accent. :P

for me.

I would also say eye-byoo-pro-fen.

My mum, who has worked as a nurse for over twenty years calls it "broofen". I'm not sure why ...

Because it used to be called Brufen, back in the days when it was prescription only.

Thank you - I had no idea that was the case. I just checked - my mum didn't even know why she called it that !
i always say i-bru-pro-fin :/
I-boo-pro-fen, not very difficult to pronounce.
I used to call it Ih-Bih-Pro-Fen but nobody knew what I was talking about, so I learned to call it Eye-Bee-Pro-Fen.

My way is much cooler though

eye-boo-proh-fen

More or less phonetically. Occasionally I've said eye-buh-proh-fen or eye-boo-proh-feen.

I never understand why people add in an extra "r" after the b.
