I think Wrexham is my perfect place to live in Wales - plenty of stuff around within easy walking distance but not too far from the countryside and civilisation, and still enough Welsh people for me to keep speaking the language. Did anyone here watch the film Hedd Wyn in secondary school?

Amazing; I love it so far! I've also found plenty of Welsh people so I can pretend I still live in Wales whenever I want. :awesome:

Wrexham isn't that bad. I thought the town centre was quite nice. :erm:

Moving swiftly (and ruthlessly) into Eagles Meadows, in particular Odeon, it's never been the same since they moved it from next to Sainsbury's :frown:

Oh and South Central should probably be on the list...
I forgot about this thread . There must be more Welsh people on here?

That doesn't surprise me, to be honest. The Daily Mail likes to pursue campaigns against anybody who isn't a middle class, straight, white male from the home counties of England.

I just read this article myself. Absolutely unbelievable. Double facepalm was insufficient, I had to try and get my feet involved too.

In response to it though, someone's set up a ****ing hilarious twitter account. Highly recommended. https://twitter.com/welshtaliban

Welsh Taliban ‏@welshtaliban
First callout, 10 year old caught smoking in Ceredigion school. Swapped fags for pack of Welsh-language ffags. Alun be praised #welshtaliban
I love that the Welsh Taliban on Twitter puts "Chwarae teg" in an English sentence, I do it all the time  I always seem to start a sentence in Welsh... "chwarae teg", "ych a fi", "i ddweud y gwir" and "iesu annwyl" are the main ones - and then finish it in English, it confuses people
