Because of this:

Are you sure what seems to be a Protestant website is the best place to go for your info about this? :dontknow:

Definitely not.

There are disagreements on the best ways to do things, but hate is definitely not the right word.
And as TLG says, a (clearly super Evangelical) Protestant website that seems to have largely been set up to 'disprove' Catholicism is not the best place to get your facts.

Not at all. Despite our differences the majority of spiritual beliefs are the same and far more unites us.
Happy Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola!

Yay! How exciting.
does anyone else think we women should still be covering up when we go to mass?? it's to pray and show our love and respect to God, not show off ourselves to others...

Depends upon what you mean by covering up I guess.

Dressing modestly - yes - I'm a big fan of the whole not having bare shoulders in church thing.
Covering our head, not so necessary.

I agree about bare shoulders, and don't think it in a way it just applies to women (men should wear trousers not shorts), or indeed just when it comes to mass. Especially Eucharistic Ministers or readers.

Hi all hope everyone is well.

Fr Brian, the priest who married my Mum and Dad back in 1987 has died aged 63

May he rest in peace.

We'd heard he was seriously ill so the news wasn't a surprise, but 63 isn't any age. He went to Lourdes one last time at the end of July. I know one of the soc members is a member of his parish!

Sad to hear of someone dying so young and I will pray for the repose of his soul.
OK peeps, prayer request time

I need MAJOR prayers for tomorrow and Saturday. Going to Oxford for a wedding and we all know how badly that could go. I'm dead nervous but it's a really special wedding and I want to be happy and carefree!

Please pray that nothing too bad will happen

Thankies
