See... I've just downloaded this and I'm already stuck on the first bit of logic.

Why include .docx in the file name when the extension is .doc?

It's a .doc file.

On the questions: 1.B, 3.C. I can't look at 2 without getting a headache.

No, it's definitely a .docx file I don't know what you're talking about. It's a word document.

2 is E since that seems to be the one no-one else wants to have a go at.

Look at each of the six arrows individually. The 'order' is {DOWN DOWN RIGHT UP UP LEFT} then starting again in that order. You can see that all six arrows fit that pattern. So the top left arrow should face 'left' next as it faces 'down down right up up'. The middle top arrow should face 'down' next as it faces 'right up up left down' etc.

I don't really understand what these types of problem are supposed to test as they are all essentially the same crap.

It is a .doc document as Word has top run in compatibility mode to open it. As you can see in my screen it is a Word 97-2004 template which means it is pre-XML. It's just a messed up file.

Working this out was preferable to the IQ test.
