Joint vs Single Honours - English Lit & Psychology

I am just about to go into my third year at the University of Glasgow. I applied to do English Literature when I went into uni and have picked up Psychology on the way. I have applied to do a Joint Honours in both.

However, I'm wondering how beneficial it will be to actually do a Joint degree in two very different subjects?

If I was to give up one it would be Psychology. So I would just get a Single Honours degree in English.

I would love some feedback on anyone who has done this combination. Would it look better (career prospect wise) to have devoted to a Single Honours in English Lit, or would it actually be more helpful to have a Joint degree in the two? They are very different subjects and I'm worried that this will make it difficult to study them side by side at Honours level.

All advice and experiences welcome!
