Psychology at Degree
I was wondering whether it would be better to do a 4 year sandwich course at degree level, or a 3 year normal course of psychology?
could someone please outline the pros and cons of both?

Depends what you want to do. If you want to go into an area of applied psychology (clinical/education/occupational, etc.) then you can use the universities' links to get a good work experience which will be beneficial . However, if you intend to go into research or something not related to psychology, i think it can be a but of a waste of time.
