can anyone help me to find a laptop for my economics degree?

I need a laptop for my economics degree, i want a machine thats fast fairly light but thats not essential just preferable, i dont plan on playing many games on it maybe football manager every so often but thats about it as far as games go, but i want it to be fast loading for programs related to university work, i have a budget of up to £600 but i would rather keep it lower.

Im just wondering in your opinions what sought of specs i need for it to be a good quick computer as i know nothing about this subject.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Obolix,

Do you have any prefence over which version of Windows the computer has? Also, do you want a touchscreen or not? Could you give me an idea of which programs you expect to be running for your degree work?

A Lenovo G580 would also suit you nicely it seems.

Maybe consider a different colour, something more neutral

A lot of people off tsr bought the z580 but with a gt630m when it was released last summer.

If you plan on general gaming then the gt635m is good enough
