Becoming a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Can anyone help me, I am wanting to become a mental health nurse practitioner and am applying for an undergraduate degree in mental health nursing at the University of Nottingham for next year. What would I need to do after this to become a practitioner?

Normally you need to be registered as an RN (mental health branch) or SW or OT, with some experience, however if you look on www.jobs.nhs.uk you'll see some Band 5 posts putting the experience as "desirable" not essential. I suggest looking at this website and searching for jobs you'd like to eventually move into t see what requirements you'd need to meet :smile:
