MSc Nursing (Mental Health)

Hi,
Is anyone able to advise me reference, who can sign off an RPL for MSc Mental Health Nursing. Does it have to be a Mental Health Nurse or can it be a Nurse / ANP Nurse please?

Thanks
Hi, i emailed some universities regarding this and they said it doesn’t have to be a mental health nurse

i do have a question for you though. how was the process of applying for mental health msc. what where the stages and was it hard/difficult. i’m planning to apply for September 2024. and how did you structure your personal statement as i’m not sure what to include in each paragraph

Hi,
Thank you for answering my question.
I haven't submitted this application yet, as it's a January 2024 start. But I did previously apply two years ago but needed to defer, I found the application process quite straight forward to be fair.
After submitting I had an interview & was accepted later the same day subject to getting my RPL completed & signed off.
My personal statement very much related to why I wanted to complete this Qualification along with my relevant experience.
Hope this helps!

How is your RPL going please. i'm subjected to that too and it quite tasking to fill it out.
Hi @NewBeginings1967 and @ladyof_neptune9,

I hope you are well.

The RPL doesn't have to be signed off by a specialist nurse (mental health), but it must be a senior practitioner or manager who must provide the reference on a headed letter.

You can have a look at Kingston University's webpage to help guide your application. The link is here https://www.kingston.ac.uk/postgraduate/courses/mental-health-nursing-msc/

Good luck with your application,

Best wishes,
May
