Essay writing at uni

Okay so I'm a first year studying Management Studies, I have 2 1500 word essays, one is due for the 21st and the other for the 25th and I'm completely stuck.

I have to reference books and academic articles, I really have no idea how to approach it because I'm quite a slow reader, so in terms of referencing I'm really struggling. I'm fine with essay-writing, it's just the finding relevant references part tricky.

Any advice would be much appreciated... or if you could share your essay-writing tips that'd be great :smile:

If your books are available online, try doing a search for a certain term/phrase. If they're only available in print, then have a look at the chapters in your books and try to decide where something relevant to your point will be; skim read through it if possible, then make your reference from that. If that made any sense at all!
