Mine would probably Chinese, Arabic (Gulf dialect), Spanish, French and either Russian or Italian.

What would you choose and why?

Chinese - so I can talk to half of the people on my course in their own language. Could also hear what they're talking about when they speak in their own language.

German - I have a few German friends, it would be nice to speak to them in their own language. Also it's my strongest foreign language and I would like to be fluent.

Spanish - Spoken by a large number of people.

French - closest country to the UK, might be useful.

Russian - so I can understand what the Spetsnaz people are saying when I play Call of Duty.

Mine would be; German, Spanish, French, Italian and Mandarin. I think they're all really widely spoken and sound quite cool too.
Arabic (learnt for almost 14 years but still don't understand it), Japanese (learnt for 4 years but forgot as I had no one to talk to), Mandarin and Cantonese (gave up learning them) and Korean (currently an advanced beginner).
Mandarin, Arabic, Hebrew, Tamil and Farsi (Persian). Already speak English, Punjabi, and Hindi

Well I already speak English and German, so I would probably go with
1. Russian, so I can get involved in lgbt activism
2. Spanish because it is becoming the 2. world language and is a huge plus on the U.S. job market
3. Italian because I have many friends in Italy
and of course (4) French because in my opinion it is the most beautiful language in the world. (I actually started studying it on my own time)
That would already make 6 in total
Why would you like to speak Arabic, if I may ask?

Why is Russian necessary for LGBT activism? Or do you mean LGBT activism specifically in Russia?

I can speak French-English-German and Tamil fluentely

I would love to know how to speak:

Japanese (I love anime)
Chineese (for business in the future)
Hindi (I love bolywood)
Russian( I love Russian girls)
Italian (I LOVE MAFIA)
French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Russian.

I'm mainly interested in living and working in mainland Europe so I think that would be the most suitable combination - plus I'm practically already half way there

Welsh.
Other than English? French, German, Italian, Cantonese... And Cornish

If I could have a sixth it would be Norwegian as I have family from there, although have never been. Feel like I should have probably said Spanish and Mandarin given the huge number of speakers around the world, I'd quite like be able to speak Polish too. Oh to be good at languages...

Arabic, Urdu, Spanish

I don't about the other two, perhaps Chinese and French.
English - generally a very useful language.
Punjabi - my mother tongue.
Urdu - IMO the most pleasing language to the ear.
Russian - it is just awesome, the way it sounds, the way it looks (Cyrillic).
French - ladies seem to love it.

Because of course the nature and scenery in South America speak Spanish. Lol

No but of course it helps a lot to know the language of the continent you're on, so you don't get ripped off, mugged and are able to order basic food.

If you don't speak Spanish in south America, you'll probably need twice as much spending money.
Faroese (it's one of the most beautiful languages I've ever heard )
Swedish
German
Finnish or Icelandic
Old Norse

I'm going by what I'm passionate about, not utility really
Scandinavian languages are just so...wonderful :moon:
French, Spanish, Russian, Farsi and Arabic.
