How to find housemates for next year

I will be in my 2nd year but the friends i have made are either staying in halls or have already got a house with others who they are closer with. There is no one left for me to ask. Any advice on how to find housemates?

Try visiting the Accommodation Centre . There will be others in the same position as you, so that's the first place I'd start. They don't just deal with halls, they also deal with private rentals , and have a notice board on their StudentPad website for people in the same situation as you: http://www.loughboroughstudentpad.co.uk/Accommodation

The Student Advice and Support Service have professional advisers who can help you further, and check your contract once you have found somewhere to rent. They will be explain to explain your legal rights and responsibilities when renting, and discuss any specific clauses in the contract that you need to be aware of.

Last year the Students' Union ran an event in March I think for people in your position so you could meet up with others and get something arranged. Worth contacting them to see if they are doing something similar this year.

There is also always the option of going into halls again, might be worth considering.
