Resiting 2nd

I would like to know is it possible to resit 2nd year and if i did can the uni decide to turn down my choice
Hi

Resitting a year isn't that uncommon. Ultimately the university can decided to turn down your request, but it is unlikely (they want you to get the best grades possible too). It is really important that you check with Student Finance before you look at resitting a year, they normally allow funding for the length of your degree +1 year. But that is not guaranteed so you need to get on to them asap once you have the OK from your department/ tutor as they will need to provide the evidence to Student Finance for you.

Also make sure you have it in writing from Student Finance that they will pay both your tuition and maintenance loans out for the extra year + the rest of your degree. Some people I know of were only granted maintenance loans for their final year after a resit year.

Go and have a chat with your tutor first and see what they say. Good Luck!

Hope this helps
