foundation year or retake

What would be a better option retaking A-levels or applying for a foundation year? Is a foundation year worth it?
Nearly always better to retake. Cheaper and gives you more options.
(the only exception would be if you mean take an Art and Design Foundation Diploma when you say Foundation Year....a FAD course is often the best option over resits for creative degree courses)

Hi! Both are viable routes to get where you want to be. It will partially depend on your finances (third year of college education is free vs paying tuition for a foundation course), and partially how confident you are that you would receive the grades you want in your resits. Additionally, it is worth thinking about whether you would be happy to resit your a levels or if you would prefer to move on and study in a different environment. The last thing I would consider is whether the universities/courses you wish to apply to actually have a foundation course, as not all universities offer this.
Good luck with whatever you choose!
