Which student halls are the nice yet affordable to stay in?

I will be starting uni in September and am really indecisive on which halls to stay in. Which one is best for socializing and fun n stuff? Yet is also comfortable and nice?

All of them are pretty nice at least. The more luxury ones are definitely the ones with en-suites such as Deanery and is very good for socialising and fun. But if you're on a budget Lucia Foster is definitely an option too. It's sort of on an enclosed grounds type area and is rather nice.

Must be. I think it opened over a week ago and Deanery is usually the first to fill up.

What I don't get is not everyone will go people won't get the results they want and people will decide not to go uni I don't see the point in actually removing it off the choices

They remove it from the choices because then everyone (who wants to stay there) will apply to it thinking 'oh look, I can still get a room' and then when it gets to results day, Solent will be left with 100s of people they have to put into their second choice (which will impact all the other halls).

I've put LFW as my first choice, but I'll be absolutely fuming if I get put on the ground floor. I'm hoping they fill rooms from the top down, because I managed to get my application through pretty much 10 mins after it went live.

Oh nooooo the dreaded ground floor, that's what i should've put on my notes omg good point! I'll be adding that
Deanery is fun I loved there for a year the room was quiet small but not too small you are close to the uni and the OC (a club) and town and everything else good like that. I rember in our Kitchen we used to play kitchen tennis witch is basically 2 pot's or pans and a tangren you hit the tangren over the table if it drops on the table or the floor your opponent get's a point if you burst the tangreen you loose.

Lucia foster is the worst halls to live in. It's disgustingly unhygienic and noisy.
