Advice for someone wanting to study Computer Science

I am interested in studying CS at university. I would like to know what languages are taught in CS (like java, python and etc) so I can begin learning a little about those languages in summer. And any tips on what I should do to prepare myself.

Thanks

Depends on your university and course. Some emphasis Java, others C, and some don't really specialise in any particular language.

If you want some general purpose, ubiquitous languages then Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Ruby, Pascal, Haskell, JavaScript and PHP are all popular languages and all are worth taking a quick snoop at.
