NC/NQ (scotland) course funding

Hi all. I'm hoping to do an NQ in Social Sciences next year. My understanding is that SAAS do not offer funding towards this.

Couple questions - 1) Would I be invoiced by the college for the course fees?
2) Any bank that would offer me a substantial student loan for an NQ?

Higher Education in Scotland is free for Scottish residents - SAAS don't fund it because the college does. When I took my NC all I had to do was bring in my passport and never heard another word about course fees. Depending on the college you'll probably be able to apply for a bursary (or EMA if you're still eligible) on top of it, will depend on your situation. Should get travel bursary (might not completely cover your travel cost but won't be far off), you'll get allowances if you have dependents etc. You shouldn't be out of pocket to take an NC/NQ, speak to an advisor at your college. :smile:
