Halls 2nd year

I just wanted to ask how common is it for people to stay in halls 2nd year, and if it is possible for 2nd year students to move to halls after commuting the 1st year.

It depends entirely on university policy. Call them and ask.

I agree, it depends. I'm a third year in halls, having lived out in my second year. It depends on policy and I think most universities will have a limit on how many returning students can take up spaces.
