Signed for a house with 5 friends and now one is dropping out
I'm at Durham university and our friend has dropped out and can't live in the house we've signed on anymore. How would you recommend the 5 of us find a new housemate? Ideally the housemate would be a girl as there's 4 guys and 1 girl now our friend has left.

I recommend looking for a replacement through social media, many people are still probably looking for a house to live in next year. Try TSR/Facebook and twitter, and post in the Official University fresher pages 
Agree with above, there will be lots of students looking for a place to live now/soon who for whatever reason couldn't manage to find a place with their friends. Check the facebook pages for your university.
