It's agua frío because agua is masculine

Posted from TSR Mobile

No it is fria, because agua is feminine. The only reason it's not la agua, is because them it's a double a sound which the Spanish don't do, in conjugations and stuff, again is feminine.
Guys does it look bad to retake next year? (for spanish and maths if anyone knows)
Also like how much does the AS count for the overall a level?
Does anyone advise starting to revise the a2 or aS syllabus in summer to improve my spanish /
How many marks would you need for a C

and for the last question of the prison guy, I got "se van a comprometer"

Do you remember if in the text, it said ' se van a comprometer' because i thought it said that like once he's done with jail 'se comprometen.'
did you include the van a yourself or was it in the text to copy directly?

AS is 50% of the overall A-Level. 60 for AS speaking, 140 for AS writing, same again for A2.
I wouldn't really bother. I did some stuff on poverty and environment over summer that my teachers gave us as optional work and I never used it once this year. Maybe consolidate grammar and tenses, also possibly read/watch/research whatever you're doing for the culture topics, but in my opinion learning content isn't worth it so much.

Oh yeah, I did that one  thanks!

you know for the first listening, will i get a mark if i wrote that the workers lived in the boroughs in the outskirt of the city. instead of in the neighborhood in the outskirt of the city

Thank you was so much appreciated !! I'll do that and practise my spoken spanish!
just out of curiosity have you applied for spanish related at uni?
Does anyone reckon the grade boundaries will be high this year because last year it was 91 for an A. Hoping that AQA lower the grade boundaries this year:s-smilie:

Maybe? WordReference lists borough as a translation for barrio.

I would recommend doing some light spanish, for example learning the vocab
The answer to number 1 a is that overly skinny models will no longer be allowed to be on the catwalk - "Modelos demasiadas flacas no permitirían participate en las pasarelas" - from what I remember!
for the prison reading bit ...
i only put "calling with telephones" or whatever it was in spanish because it only had (1mark) ... do you think you had to put writing letters ANNND calling with phones? Both the bits oooor? :frown:

Yeahhhh I think so , there was a lot of unknown vocab, in hindsight it wasn't as bad as I thought tbh ! And the essay's were very strange

I am pretty sure it was "se van a comprometer", because that was the only sentence at the end that referred to them both. Also I looked up "comprometer" on spanishdict and amongst the range of translations, "to get engaged" was one. So makes the most sense to me imo

Wasn't the question "when was the change made?"

No problem! I haven't applied for uni yet actually, I wasn't planning on doing anything Spanish related though
