what does 'capped at 40%' mean?

just want some help please .. got my result back for exam and got 35 .. knew I was gonna fail!! In the module we had one assignment and one exam!! .... just feel really stupid ..


retake my exam and will be capped at 40% what does this mean??? help please??

No matter how well you do in your re-take, you will be given 40% for that exam.

Meaning you can't get higher than 40% for that exam, even if you get 92% when you re-take it.

It means when you retake your grade cannot exceed 40%

Thank you for the reply.Another question. Does the 35% i have so far count towards anything?I.e will i just need to get minimum of 5% in order to pass or I have to get the full 40 mark?Thanks!

It's a clean slate situation and you need to redo whatever part you failed.

For one of my assignment I’ve been capped at 40 do I still pass module

For one module I did a presentation and for that I got 76 % and for the other part which was written I got capped at 40% have I passed the module in that case
