Do you need to pass each component or just the combined average? In nay case it'd be usual that you need to get 40 on each. You can't usually get 50 on one portion of a capped resit.
It might differ by institution (though I've not known it to) so you should check with your personal tutor/in your handbook etc.

Typically with a module resit, your individual assessments are capped at 40%, so you could not score higher than a 40% in the other component and would need 40% to pass.
