Could I get into trouble for purchasing sexy toys and such under 18
I'm 16 and I'm wondering if this could get me into trouble since on the websites they say you must be 18 or over to purchase them. I tried using my under-19s bank account to purchase it (I figured it would let me cus I can still have it when I'm 18) but my bank declined the order (they might have checked my DoB?). If I made a money transfer to a paypal account belonging to an adult and buy what I wanted, could I get into trouble if I transfer money from my under 19s account to a paypal account to purchase these things?

No, it's not in the interests of any of these sites to put more effort into age verification than they have to; and there's no law against you trying to buy these products (to the best of my knowledge, it's not illegal to sell them to under-18s either). Points for ingenuity, and good luck.
The exception is pornographic DVDs which are R18 and have the usual laws preventing their sale to minors. And, of course, you should have the permission of the person whose PayPal account you're using! But I should think that goes without saying.

Yes, they said I can use it, I need to transfer some money around anyway so I might as well.
You're not going to get into trouble, since it's not illegal to sell them to somebody under 18. At most, the salesperson will refuse the sale. I don't think such voluntary restrictions are needed, but a lot of shops still want to be seen as "responsible retailers".
