Maths New Papers (Old Spec)

The questions on these papers seem much harder than years previous to 2015, where there seems to be more of a focus on problem solving. Why and how do I get better at practising these problem solving questions for next years exams? There's not a lot of material available at the moment. (C1, C2, S1)

Interesting. :beard:

I'd suggest posting in the Maths forum, where specialists would be able to help you out.

I assume you're talking about Edexcel here? I know they have over a thousand resources available on their website, including those addressing particular topics, and those addressing particular skills. There are even more on their secure site if you have access to it.

If not, you could perhaps try looking through some of the resources here on TSR. My advice would be simply that repetition is everything and using the mark scheme to mark your own work is the method for success (got me an A this year :innocent:). Other things that might help if you're focussing on the last few years specifically is reading the examiner reports for any questions you really don't get on with.

If you need anything else, just let me know.

Thank you, I done the papers and marking my own work this year but still couldn't get an A. I will post this is the Maths forum and see what they say.

There are 22 papers for every unit. Did you do them all?
