improving english gcse grades !!

for the past year, i’ve merely attained a grade 5 (i’m currently in year ten) across my english subjects. i struggle a lot with english in general compared to other subjects (i’m mainly attaining 6s and 7s in most of my subjects, an 8 in science). i literally have no idea how to bump up my grade, it’s not actually a subject that i’m passionate about but i still want to do well in it. please hmu if you have any good tips for improving english!! i’m currently doing things like reading but i feel still that it is not enough.

it’s totally normal for english grades to begin low and stay relatively low for a while. compared to other subjects i find that english improves quicker as your writing matures so i would suggest reading, books for a higher age or articles from newspapers like the washington post etc
