Actually more beneficial, marines do it to improve blood circulation. Also makes you more awake in the morning due to the heart pumping more. I used to do it as well until I went back home after 1st year uni due to my home shower being a bit annoying with temperature control, didn't get back to it again 2nd year though may start again.

But then I freeze to death in the shower even if i put the cold water on for 1 min everyone had their own preference I guess
